Buying My New Car With Quikr Nxt

These days everything has become so damn expensive that to buy reasonably priced household items like a refrigerator or an oven requires considerable financial planning. When such is the case, buying a new and unused car seems almost like a dream, a dream that is out of reach from the hands of a middle class man.

So is there no solution for the common man who wants to upgrade to a better and new car for his family? Does the family all bundle into their small, compact car with no leg space without complaining because they know that they cannot afford a new car? So that’s where I logged into when I wanted to upgrade from our old Maruti Omni to a new, spacious and efficient car.

For decades my family drives a Maruti Omni which was quite practical for our large family and we have gone on many memorable family vacations in this car. Buying a car through a website is not very conventional, so many people would still prefer to go to second-hand motor dealer showrooms, but in this age where everything is available for purchase online without any hassles, how can buying a car be left behind? Quikr Nxt allows me to chat with the seller at my convenience and since I am a person who prefers to chat rather than call, I can initiate the deal through chatting. Also Quikr provides a host of options when selecting a new car, including cars from different brands, options to choose between different fuel types, cars with various features, with different makes, year and the flexibility to select cars that falls within my budget. Which showroom would give me so many plethora of options to select my new car?

Using Quikr Nxt feature I can chat with different sellers without having to worry about remembering each conversation and the different price quoted from sellers. Since the conversation happens through chat I just need to look at the chat history to compare prices.

Since I am particular about going for a spacious car with enough room to accommodate my large family, I can ask sellers to send photos of interior of the car. For any additional information, I can chat and ask for details.

Selling Buying Made Hassle Free With Quikr Nxt

Almost a year back, when my daughter started walking steadily, I decided to sell her buggy since she had outgrown its use and it was eating up precious space in our apartment. Instead of throwing it, I wanted to sell it so that someone else could utilize it and since my daughter started walking very early, the stroller was hardly used and practically new.

I uploaded the ad in Quikr from my office in the morning, and by afternoon I had already received a couple of calls. But the calls came at unsuitable timings, like when I was in a meeting or when I was talking to my manager. And since I did not want to miss out talking to a potential buyer, I had to excuse myself many times to receive the call, causing frowns and raising of eyebrows on the face of my manager.

Despite reasonably quoting the price of the stroller on the website, I received many calls from people asking if I could lower the price. So these phone calls did not result in a successful transaction. How I wished that I could just chat with people instead of talking to a buyer over a call. Also I was not very comfortable giving my phone number in a website that was accessible to anyone. I’m not paranoid, but sometimes people call just because they are lonely and they want to speak to someone!

Well, my wish did come true, albeit a year later in the form of Quikr Nxt. 1. A log record of the entire conversation means I don’t have to remember which buyer quoted how much price for a product. When there are many buyers quoting different prices, it becomes cumbersome to remember the details of a conversation in a call. But when I am chatting with a potential buyer, I don’t have to depend on my memory to recall the details, I can just look at chat history.
2. Provide more details without having to explain in words. When I put up the ad for the stroller I posted few photos, but there were few people who wanted more details, like the exact color, or if there was a basket to keep the child’s necessities or if there was a safety belt to protect the child from falling. It was irritating to answer the same queries from multiple callers. Now I can just click photos and send it via chat to users. It saves time and energy, not to mention avoiding confusions over product features. It becomes really useful when you are selling products like car or electronic gadgets.
3. The biggest advantage is I can respond to the queries of a buyer at my own convenient time. I don’t have to worry about missing out on a call with a potential buyer because I’m in a meeting or my phone is not along with me. I don’t have to be worried of a call interrupting a date or an important conversation with a family member. Nobody likes it when a person abruptly cuts a conversation short and walks off to receive a call. Now I can chat using Quikr Nxt whenever I have free time on my hands. This definitely is a handy feature to have for a working professional.

No stopping at Shoppers Stop-My festival season shopping binge

October 1^st dawned a gloomy and cloudy day in Bangalore. As my eyes opened in the morning I could feel a sense of dread hovering in my mind. It took me few minutes to realize the reason. It was the day on which I had to rejoin my work after 8 months of Maternity Leave.

Life has been very hectic in the past couple of months, what with balancing a chaotic work schedule, trying to spend quality time with my toddler and squeezing in some few moments of respite in between.

To escape from the building work pressure I discovered upon a new stress buster technique-online window shopping. Out of the 24 hours in a day, I spend almost 16 to 18 hours in front of my laptop. So gradually but definitely the online shopping bug bit me. Bit me hard!

So when I had to buy new clothes for the festival season, being short on time, I had the perfect excuse to go online shopping. So happily, with a steaming cup of coffee in my hand, I browsed through several online shopping sites, until I settled for shoppersstop.com.

Since my kurta is round neck, I dint want to go for a traditional neck piece. I wanted a neck accessory which would complement the dress and not divert the attention from it. I have retained the best for the last, the sandals. I have a footwear fetish, I love to collect them and even though I hardly wear high heels, I had to go for the below pair, simply because the dress demands high heels. So this is my entire festival ensemble.

Coming from a middle class economic strata I always worry about my budget. I am left wondering if what I desire can be afforded by me. So I was happily surprised when I added up the cost and saw that my shopping spree dint burn a hole in my pocket. Because it came at a very affordable price of 5254/-(with the pearl bracelet) and 9174/-(with the selection of gold bangles). I am one happy girl, yaaaay!

My online shopping experience at Firstcry

Two days after I delivered my baby daughter, I was happy to take my bundle of joy and start the new journey of motherhood in the comfortable confines of my home. But then my pediatrician announced that my baby had developed jaundice. Initially I was terrified but then I came to know that this is common and most of the new born babies’ contract jaundice. We had to extend our stay for couple of days in the hospital as my daughter had to be kept in phototherapy for 24 hours. 

I had packed most of my essential things before I got admitted in the hospital, but I realized my blunder when I found that I had completely forgotten to buy feeding night gowns or commonly known as nighty. Now I am not a nighty person, I am a pajama or even a tracksuit kind of person, never in my life have I worn a nighty. But during pregnancy, nighties are most comfortable and practical. Since I couldn’t go out to buy a feeding nighty and I dint trust anyone else to buy the perfect nighty for me, I decided to buy it online.

Till then my online shopping experience was limited to buying books from Flipkart. I was adamant that I wanted a cotton-pajama –kind of material which looked elegant and was still comfortable to wear. So after skimming through a lot of sites I finally liked firstcry.com for the below reasons:

· Firstcry.com offered a lot of varieties in maternity/nursing clothes.

· It was easy to maneuver through the site. Very user-friendly.

· The site provides a roll-over image, where I could see the magnified image of the nighty. I could make out the color, fabric, pattern very clearly.

· The payment option was easy and within few seconds I was able to complete the whole payment process.

· There were lots of other colors available in the same pattern, so I had more choices.

The cost of the nighty came up to Rs.995 which I thought was a bit costly, but after the nighty was delivered I felt it was worth its cost, because the fabric was really soft and very comfortable. 

The delivery took 1 week, but this is probably because the shipping location was Mangalore. I was waiting for a long time before the nighty was finally delivered. After I shifted back to my home in Bangalore, I ordered some teethers/soothers for my baby from the same site and they delivered promptly within a couple of days.

Overall I was happy with the nighty and impressed with the quality. I did order couple of more nighties from firstcry.com. My friends who were kind of enough to visit me during my recovery period complimented me for the nighty :)

Although I shop online regularly, this was the most memorable experience because it was the first time I was ordering from firstcry.com and also because it was the first time I shopped after I delivered my beautiful daughter.
