The Other Woman- 100 Words Fiction

‘Dear Rose,

After our fight yesterday, I decided to come clean. My only concern was ‘how do I tell her about you’. But last night her reports showed that she was battling cancer.  She has been with me through thick and thin. She has seen me struggling but she never left my side. How can I leave her now, when she needs me the most? Maybe we were never meant to be.

Hope someday you can forgive me.’

Amidst the blur of tears Rose felt an immense relief that she was not the other woman who had broken a marriage.

  1. The stigma of the 'other woman' is intolerable for any lady and the wise thing is to refrain oneself from entering a complicated relationship. But the heart has other reasons................
