I am very excited because
April is just around the corner and I’m going to participate in the A-Z
blogging challenge. This is going to be my second time and last year it was
super fun and I was fortunate to come across some wonderful blogs. I was a
novice then and I learned from my mistakes as
I blogged everyday with a theme “Life and its Stories” which was a mix of
fiction and some real life anecdotes. This year I am going to write a short
story in series and each chapter that I’m going to publish will incorporate
idioms starting with a letter for that day.
I am scared, happy,
excited, and anxious all at the same time because I’ve always wanted to write a
story that exceeds the 5k word mark and I’m sure the story that I’ll be writing
will develop into a novella. Here’s a short preview of my story. I hope to see
you here on my blog in the month of April.
Sudhir’s idea of his
future life partner is a woman with an adventurous personality, someone who
shares his passion to live life to the hilt, someone who can hold her own forte
in any conversation. Surrounded by strong, financially independent women
in his family, he is of the opinion that women can conquer the world if they
so desire. So it comes as a total surprise for his mother and sister when he
agrees to marry Lalitha- a somber and reserved girl from an orthodox Brahmin
family. Sudhir believes that Lalitha has a much more valiant soul hidden deep
within her reticent self and he falls in love with the confident, yet humble
woman.
But several weeks later,
Sudhir is hit with an uncertainty about his decision to marry Lalitha. What had
caused Sudhir to change his mind? Will Sudhir abandon Lalitha even before their
wedding?
Read my debut story “I’ll
Be There Beside You”, to know more about Sudhir and Lalitha .
I am hooked already to know more about Sudhir and Lalitha :) April....... Come soon!!!! :D

Most men discover soon enough that they really aren't strong enough to handle strong women. Lalitha sounds like a mystery. Please keep us updated...
ReplyDeleteWow! I loved the sneak peek, Prasanna. Glad to have come across your blog. Will follow along in April.
